It has never been easier to place a bet or two. Sites like Sports Betting Champ, Betting Underground and AllInsports have all buckle packed with information and betting systems that guide you through to the betting fluidity so you can pick and choose the bets that will work best for you. But, there are some that seem to be the most profitable for me. And, it’s not necessarily the cases that I am talking about. There are some very good betting systems that, for me at least, have proved to be consistent winners over the course of the season. The systems I am talking about are the ones that work their magic during the playoffs.
The first example of this is the bet on the Works Progressives. Just a few weeks ago, one of these NFL Plays made the cover of the Wall Street Journal, one of the highest circulation newspapers in the United States. This particular betting play, one which I had little to do with, won $400 on a $1 investment on the Atlanta Falcons at the beginning of the season.
The name of the system that got me thinking about Game Reports is the Parlay Play. The Parlay is a great story. One where the sports network plays you a string of games, and if you are somehow lucky enough to wager on all the outcomes, you win a lot of money.
The problem with the Parlay is that it is sometimes not clear exactly when you win the bet. And, depending on how the network counts the wins, it is possible to lose the whole bet as well. network television stations use what is called a “balancing yardstick” When the exact score of a game is approaching, they take away another game that might end up a tie or a blowout. The sports networks and Vegas generally follow this rule.
The network will often make a small adjustments to the line when they play a three-team parlay to avoid the possibility of a large payout (for example, if the Lakers win by 2 and the Suns lose by 3, the Suns may be given a slightly harder path to victory in order to protect their payout).
One of the rules that I like to abide by when working with three teams in a parlay is that the higher scoring team should be favored by 1-2 points. So, if the Lakers are up against the Suns, that 3 point cushion that was supposed to be given to the Suns is now going to be taken away.
Most people are under the impression that the higher scoring team should win the game straight up, but that’s not always the case. A lot of times it is poker88 fans that fail to realize that it is the defense that usually wins the night, not scoring. A good example of this was the matchups between the Suns and the Lakers in the Angeles Lakers series earlier this season. In that series, the Lakers went into the playoffs as a 2 point favorite. Yet, as the Lakers raced to a 35-point win, the Suns came back to tie it up at the end of the game. If the Suns had managed to hold off the Lakers, which they did, the Lakers would have most likely lost the game, but in fact they came back and won the game inbalancing the line by 1.5 points.
The Suns are probably the best team in the league at keeping games close, and they have a lot of very good young players. The thing about the Suns is that they beat the Lakers in the regular season and they are the best team in the West against the spread. Therefore, if the Suns beat the Lakers, who by then, were probably well rested, in their series, the Suns would probably win the bet as Suns were favored by 3.5 points at the betting time. The Suns, who do not gamble, won the bet at 58-40.
So there it is, some basic information about working out what the final scores of games will be. There is much more to gambling, betting and winning than just knowing what the final scores will be.
